Trustee Information

Charity Trustees are the people in overall control and management of a charity.  They may be called directors, management committee members or committee members, but the law considers them to be 'charity trustees'. They are responsible for the charity's governance and strategy, and  for making sure that the charity is administered effectively. They must account for its activities and outcomes.

If you are interested in the work of our Board of Trustees you will find further information here:

We are always happy to hear from anyone interested in joining our
Board of Voluntary Trustees

Our ideal Voluntary Trustees complement the skills of our existing Board members,

and we are always particularly keen to recruit Trustees who have experience in some of these areas:

  • Early Learning and Childcare

  • Human Resources

  • Finance and/or Administration

  • Marketing

  • Fundraising and Grants

But above all, we look for caring, dynamic and committed individuals, who will help to drive our charity forwards.

Both challenging and rewarding in equal measure, our trustee roles will provide you with an opportunity to support a local charity and really make a difference. Previous Charity Board experience is desirable but not as important as a passion for our work, a commitment to supporting our staff at all levels, and a desire to make a positive contribution

Commitment:

  • Attendance at 4 Board meetings per year

  • Our Trustees are also very welcome to attend our Staff and Parent meetings

  • Approximately ½ a day per month in addition

Renumeration:
This is a voluntary appointment and as such is unpaid
Expenses are not reimbursed presently, consumables such as stationery will be supplied to you

If you think you have what it takes and would like to join us
